You have to be carefull that your bulbs are road legal.

Your road-legal bulbs are normally 60/55w.  If they are a higher wattage then this then it can cause an in-balanced load being drawn from your car and it can cause failures.  There is no need to buy Rally or other illegal high wattage bulbs, there are loads of good alternatives like the Bosch Performance +50% and Philips Vision Plus.  Also these are all 55/60 so your safe AND legal.

From my knowledge If it has an E mark it's legal as far as the boys in blue are concerned.

Probably got lost in the "Great Crash of 08

Fook me that hot...thats 7229 degrees celcius......the bollock scorchingly hot....that cant be right.....

In fact, 7226.85 Celsius, its -273.15..

 In fact anyway, it would be the temp of the filament....

We only just did an experiment today, which is how i know... We were like spitting on the bulb, to make it hiss  so thought we'd stick a thermistor on it, the glass was sitting at around 440Celsius... and we calculated the filament to be 4530K.

Sorry if my lab sessions dont interest anyone!

Don't worry...i get to play with a jet engine to Calculate the thermal efficiency of it and the gas flows...... :undecided:
