MPs pay rise
« on: 08 December 2013, 10:29 »
I think it's disgusting that it's going ahead, an 11% rise when most of us are lucky to get anything at all. A cost of 46m to the public tax payer when all they keep saying is we must cut back... Bunch of cocks

Why do you think car tax is changing. So they can add a quid here and there monthly which no-one will notice much, which will compensate for them lining their own pockets.

Scandalous really, but more scandalous that the so called independent party reviewing it thinks that it's fair/overdue. Given all the fiddling they do, they hardly need one.

Normal payrise at our place is 4% for a good year, and I don't actually know anyone else who got a payrise last year.

There are five people in my local council who all earn over £200,000 a year and a M.P's currently earn around £65,000,if M.P's worked in the private sector they would earn at least 10 times what they get from the public purse.believe it or not they dont do it for the money

So you believe they have earnt an 11% rise when they are telling everyone else to tighten up their belts? The rise would be better spent on other policies that will genuinely help the economy and the working class, not the silver spoon fed toffs who haven't done a proper day's work in their life

No im just playing the Devils Advocate,i think they should be paid more then there would be no need for a 11% payrise.
