Multifunction Disply
« on: 07 December 2013, 20:18 »
I have a 2012 2.0TDI-170 A3 Sportback at the moment with an s-tronic (DSG) gearbox which I love.  But there are several things including the touch screen infotainment setup in the Golf that I prefer to the new A3.  I do have one query which I hope someone will be happy to answer for me.

In the MFD screen (the one between the instruements rather than the larger touch screen) is it possible to get it to display the numbers of miles of fuel left before I would need to fill up.  I have my A3 set to this at the mement and find it very useful and I cannot find any picture of the MFD which shows the options available to disply.  Thanks.

It's also really easy to flip between the different read outs using the button on the steering wheel.  I have mine set to digital speed.  Wish there was a bit more colour in it!

I tend to be switching between speed and consumption. You're right though, could prob use a bit of colour.

Have I missed this?  Where is the digital speed in there?

its in there :)

I spend most of the time between consumption and speed, and would love a way to organise them so they are closer together when flicking through!, or have them both on the screen at the same time!

If it doesn't show then it needs to be selected in the car menu on the head unit, you can choose what displays and what doesn't.

You can use the car menu / setup to remove some of the read outs.  I have mine adjusted so I'm on digital speed; flip up once for avg consumption then flip back down once and back to digital speed.

Also another quick question...

As I'm out in Cyprus (which uses metric measurements) and with how 'busy' the speedo dial is, can you switch the MFD speed readout to KMH rather than MPH?
