ECU Anti Theft software
« on: 06 December 2013, 08:27 »
Just been reading up on the APR maps Awesome provide for the mk6 platform and was intrigued by the anti theft software it has. it allows you to enter a security code using the cruise control buttons, which immobilises the car even if an attempt is made to start with the keys.

Just wondering if anyone uses this on an APR map or has any experience of it?

I’d be interested to know if any companies can offer this software upgrade at a reasonable price...

Yeh I have the apr map.

The anti theft means the car can be started but the throttle peddle does nothing :)

seems a worthwhile investment to me. I don't know about anyone else on here, but I suffer badly from car theft paranoia! lol

I've always been a bit torn by this, I've used it on Revo SPS if I've gone away etc, however, if some scumbag breaks in for the keys I do wrestle with the fact do I want them coming back when the car won't start
