iPhone 4 & 5 MDI iPod cables - how much ????

I rang my local Volkswagen dealer to get the prices for the MDI iPod cables....

iPhone4/4S £36.00 (000051446M) - Red color
iPhone5/5S £70.00

How much!! 

Does anybody know where I can buy a original iPhone4/4S cable cheaper? Or if anybody has a spare I am quite willing to either buy it or donate money to a charity 

For anybody looking for a iPhone5/5S cable there is one on eBay for £45.00

Cheers mate, had a look at both the Amazon & eBay links.... none left  I may have to borrow my brothers blue cable for the time being.

The blue cable works fine, it just doesn't display album art nor can you play videos on screen - but you can still listen to your tunes!

Wow. £75 or £45 for the red collar iphone 5 lightning MDI cable?

That's some serious gouging.

Is this because they are still relatively new on the market?  I think I will live without for the time being.

I need an android cable too. seen a few on fleabay but then decided to look on German fleabag. just need to translate into English when my laptop is working and I'll be ordering one. I've got both I phone/iPod cables (red and blue collar) but had to ask salesman for the newer one though.
