Longitudinal And Lateral Sensors
« on: 04 December 2013, 17:59 »
The traction light on my 4mo is constantly on..the button does nothing ..

I have the following codes under abs controller

01423
01279

Which point to the Longitudinal and lateral senors.

Any idea where these are?? And if it is worth me replacing these or will the issue be somewhere else.. the traction does not work at all.. even tho have a haldex system would like to get the traction system sorted for the coming icy roads

take off the underside of the dash etc on the drives side, its under the steering wheel/colum.

carefull when your messing on with it, sensors like that are usually pretty sensative, and id guess expensive :D

check all connections first before you buy a new one would be my advice.

have a google for a part number then you could hopefully pin point it. iirc from a thread I saw on ukmkivs years ago it was a black or brown box, about 1inch cubed.
