yeah mate, 15mm on the rears. 20mm would give too much poke with the Monza's I think. considering putting 5mm's on the front...

Hi,

Im kinda new to the world of tuning and looking at putting together a shopping list of things i plan to buy in the future (kinda researching best products for what i want)... Ive decided id like to buy coilovers instead of just springs (would like to improve the handling not just the looks). My question is why do people want more of a drop on the front then back is this just for looks or does improve the handling to have the back raised slightly?

Are you planning on doing track days? If Yes than coilovers are worth it. if not then you wont benefit from them. YOu would be best buying a decent springs and shocks, ie : H&R cup Kit or B12's....link below:

And Yes, low front equals a sexy stance.....

Sorry this is gonna be a proper noob question but whats the difference between changing the shocks & springs V coilovers... looking at the pics they look the same lol.

A re the track day as I now only live 55miles from Silverstone I would like to start going to some

Has anyone used the APR VWR springs they must be decent if VWR are putting their name to them?

For coilovers I was looking at these the fixed rating with the camber plates and linear springs

If you are going coilovers go for a two way adjustable set up, three ways are a bit over rated as you need to know what you are doing to adjust, two way means the damper/rebound set up is preset so you get the best off both worlds for road and track use

I'll disagree with Rocket my coilovers are a vast improvement on the road compared to our mk5 given the quality of the dampers, all be it might not give you the ultimate low stance
