front jack up points ? when cills are nackered

Hi im new on here lol..can anyone help I need to change my starter motor on mk3 golf gti ! And need to know where best to jack up as my cills are nackered.

Straight in the middle on the sub frame then put axle stands on each end of the sub frame

I always jack them up on  the control arm / subframe mounting bolt.

^^This is best, never jacked mine on the sills

i do'nt think you need to jack it up to do starter motor do you.It's only 2 bolts.

2 bolts for the starter go through the front engine mount. So you need to support your engine. Also disconnect yojr battery
