headlight restoration
« on: 25 November 2013, 12:28 »
headlights on my "new" Passat are very cloudy and dull so need something to bring them back.
Have tried an ordinary washing up scourer but not good.

Saw a post on facebook by Horney for Meguiars Headlight Restoration Kit and wondered if anybody else had used it?

Haven't used it myself but it seems to get mixed reviews on detailing world depending on their expectations, from pretty decent to rubbish, the best way is with various wet and dry sand papers followed by some decent polish on a machine but it can get expensive buying all the stuff unless you already have some of it, best bet is find a decent local detailer and get a quote.

Clay them too, you'd be surprised how much cr@p you'll get off them.

Yes it is good.

And have plenty more of the stuff to use again if necessary!
