Helicoil set needed in farnborough area
« on: 17 November 2013, 15:30 »
Saw a slight leak of oil from the oil pressure sensor, the plug unscrewed finger tight covered in swarf. The hole looked stripped to all hell. Tried packing sensor out but when starting the car the plug shot out pissing oil all over the drive as it was that stripped. Need a Helicoil set to insert a steel thread. Would really appreciate if anyone in the area could help out.

Not oil filter, it was the oil pressure switch on the side of the head. In the mean time I tapped it to the next size up and just wrapped it with loads of plumbers tape. It hasn't shot off yet but I don't trust it.
