Its the little things that add up that get me, like a debadged grill hear and crystal headlights there etc, you dnt realise how much all this stuff costs until you actually sit down and think about it, but who cares. At least its going on something worth while!!
People at work think I am mad but, i live at home still and i dnt may much board so what else am I supposed to spend my money on!!!???

Last year while I was living at home, at one point I had my Mk3 16v, had spent about a grand on it since buying 6months before and had a Mk2 16v on the drive waiting to be put into action.
Then I moved to London, had to sell the Mk3 cos it was costing too much, and then the Mk2 had to go cos I had gone from paying £100 per month rent to £400.

If you can spare the cash, then why not spend it on a car, money is only fleeting, it's not going to last so you might as well enjoy it.

At the end of the day i earn the same as my best friend. When i look back on the last two years ive got my VW on the drive to show for it. When my best friend looks back on the last two years hes got a lot of empty bottles and nights out he cant remember. Thats why i spend my money on my dub

I second that, I was happy plodding along with a bog standard cabby with a few bits of rust here and there, but that's gone right out of the window now.  Even bought a fookin camper so I dont have to put a tent up at VW shows !
......now officially dubless.

Just had a service this month and having my rear door resprayed to fix the damage caused by some scumbag!! Cost = £250 plus petrol for getting around!!
