Cornering lights
« on: 16 November 2013, 20:59 »
How do you get these to work?

I have enabled the setting on the menu but as far as I can tell they are not working

Are these when you are turning slowly with indicator on and one fog light comes on?

They just come when you turn your wheel past 45 degrees ( at any speed) i had mine switched on using VAG-COM for about 6 months, but i turned them off as they got really annoying as i have my lights set to auto, so if its cloudy they come on when they are totally not needed. People think your lights are broken as they fade in and out as your corner (and to be fair i saw another gold with them on and they look pretty stupid)

Unless you drive down loads of country lane with no lighting they are a waste of time mate.

Thought they only worked up to speeds of like 25mph  :undecided:

My dad has these on his Ibiza and they only work up until that speed.....which defeats the object in my opinion

Both my Passat and Golf ones only work at these low speeds. Oddly with the Passat, both fog lights come on when I select reverse.

ok my bad, when i said any speed i kinda of meant up to around 30mph,

They are good when you want / need them. The rest of the time they are plain annoying. I wish the had a simple button to activate them if and when you needed them.

Why would you want them to work at times other than when you had dip beam on?

So even though there is an option to switch cornering lights on/off on the dash menu you still need VAg Com to enable it? Seems pretty silly to me
