Lower engine mount/ torque arm insert
« on: 16 November 2013, 17:13 »
Search has not really thrown up anything and neither has google for what am looking for.

Im looking at getting the powerflex insert track or non track is undecided. But have seen a few posts on the web saying that with a dsg the vibes are shocking but then others saying it is fine but this is with an other brands.

Have seen a few of these mounts in peoples sigs. Just looking for some words of wisdom rather than the general rabbling of the web.

Thx

If you've got DSG I would go for the insert rather than the solid mount, I had the solid mount fitted for about a month and couldn't live with it, some say that it settles in time but it did my head in so I removed it  and fitted the insert

I've got one and its good. Makes shift a lot nicer and better throttle response

Very slight increase in vibration on cold start up

Cut the front legs down by half on the poly insert to reduce vibration a lot.

Which insert did you go for in the end?
