What are you going to drive around in until it arrives?
Hopefully the GTi as I suggested earlier ;)

I don't think so unfortunately, they're going to sell it on as soon as i've put my private reg back on retention and signed it over, tbh i'm not too fussy as long as it's decent and safe, they're trying to decide if they want me to insure their car or whether i'll just use their insurance as a courtesy car? I'm currently driving a 2ltr tdi bluemotion SE and tbh it's great for what it is and i wouldn't mind hanging on to it, although i think they might want me to keep swapping to keep the mileage down.

Sounds like that's one of those very rare good dealers Jimble. I'd slap a preservation order on them in case someone wants to change them !

They are good tbh, the service department as well, it's only a smallish dealership but you get a more personal feeling there than in bigger places, it's one of the main reasons i'm sticking with VW as this whole situation could have been much worse.

My dealership is the same, I only trust one mechanic with my Golf R32 ;)
Bluemotion's rock, my Polo is a cheap car to run, service etc.
Done 52k miles, only paid £279.00 in servicing, first set of front tyres @ 52k miles @ £136 fitted. No road tax and get 70-75mpg.

Can you let us know the reg of your rejected car? I'm sure you wouldn't want any members here to think they were doing well by jumping the queue and buying it.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Jimble it does have ADC as standard, we'll see insurance group wise i'm more interested how it compares to my Mk6

Nice to hear some positive dealer news, the one i use is great and why i come back time and time again, yes i may have saved some extra pennies but then i factor in hassle

Not 100% sure yet mate, i've seen videos and pictures with the distance button on the steering wheel and the R line cars have the same grill as the R and have the sensor so the parts are fabricated, can't see why they wouldn't tbh? I got a quote for a mk6 R the other day and it was £50 cheaper than i paid for my mk7 GTI!

Hopefully it won't be too bad though.
