if you're choosing on looks alone,then buy the wheels you like the best...
If performance and/or comfort is/are a consideration then I would research the weight of each wheel/tyre combination and go with the the lightest choice... The bigger wheel/tyre combination is not always heavier...
BTW, the extra width comments are valid only if you assume perfect suspension, on perfect roads. In reality, all suspension systems exhibit geometry changes on compression and rebound... depending on how good the suspension design and construction is you may not be able to make use of the extra width...
