MFA

Great forum this is! Quality of info. is great.
Just joined in and I would like some information
on how to set the clock and proper use of MFA.
First GTI and not sure how to work it.
Was so excited about the car I didn't  pay particular attention
when previous owner was going through the functions of MFA.
I fear I might mess the system up trying to find out how it works.

Any contributions on this subject is warmly welcomed.

Set the clock by pushing a pen-like object (eg a pen) into the holes in the dials.  I'm sure one of the gurus has a useful link for the MFA functions.

Pretty straightforward really. by depressing the button once you get a differentreading each time

time of last journey

outside Temp
Oil temp
Avg MPG

this is off the top of myhead so probably in the wrong order!!!

Yeah but you got the different slider positions which makes the thing a bit more complicated...

click to the left gives the latest trip info which clears in about 2-3hrs when engines off. Click it to the right and it'll give you the total trip info till you clear it.

Clear the trip info by holding the switch to the left or right for about 2secs.


So easy even I know how to do it and am proud of such miniscule knowledge of a car.
