As said the boot floor is height adjustable, 95 RON is the standard fuel in this country so any old unleaded if your not fussy, BP ultimate is 97 and Shell V-power is 99 along with a few others.

The auto handbrake won't automatically release if you don't have your seat belt on.

Thanks for that Jimble, appreciate the feedback on fuel.

Had same problem this morning with handbrake. Took 10 mins pi@@ing about until i sorted it.....i should have checked the manual in the first place

Cheers Chris, think i sussed it this morning on the way into work...having messed about for 10 mins trying to get the car out of the car park. The manual saved me lol.

Ill be in touch if I need a hand. I will figure out the upload of photos over next few days and get some photos up.

I don't like the knob to adjust the wing mirrors, it's the flimsiest bit of plastic on the car. I reckon it'll snap off in a year's time.

My clutch pedal has started to creak like a barn door, on every upstroke. Happened on my Scirocco too, but only after 2 years.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

I thought this when I test drove one. I actually did break the bonnet pull!

I've read this somewhere else, somethng to do with a nylon peg drying out in the pedal linkage iirc, once lubricated it stops.

They replaced the pedal linkage on my Scirocco. I thought i'd read that someone rotated said peg and the issue stopped. Not sure whether that's delaying the inevitable or is a true fix. Will contact my local dealership tomorrow to get their opinion if they will take a 5 min look at it and order parts in if necessary.

Gave the clutch pedal assembly springs and white plastic split pin a lubrication with an oil dampened cloth, worked the pedal a few times and the creaking has stopped.

It was me who started the thread about the creaking clutch. I went back and forth to the dealers for the best part of a fortnight because they couldn't get the replacement part, apparently problems with the VW supply chain!?  :undecided:

I've also got an indentation in my armrest caused by...resting my elbow on it. Why didn't they tell me when I collected the car that the soft materials are just for show and not to be used for what they are supposed to be used for!

I've also got a noise that is getting on my nerves from somewhere in the car, initially I thought it was the front suspension but I'm now thinking it's coming from somewhere at the rear of the car!

And to top it all off, the paintwork is in a shocking state, caused by some idiot with a grit covered sponge at the dealership!
