Sadly this is true. I have just left it on just above minimum due to the drama required to adjust it on the fly.

This might be the way forward and if necessary adjust before you set off or when stationary.

not great if your travelling down the motorway and decide it's a bit bright. >:(

Or if you've been on a dark back road and end up in a well lit area, then the display is too dark!!  My old 3 series wasn't the easiest to change, but you did that through the computer via the indicator stalk, so hands in and around the steering wheel area and eyes on your instruments and road.

The Windscreen is slightly annoying me, have a look at yours guys and see if you can spot what I'm seeing, never noticed this before or on another car, but i can loads of little dots on the screen, like as if its dirty, but its not, its a weird effect, worse when a light is shone through the screen, thousands of little dots..................... highly annoying

I wondered what they were! There was me thinking a GoPro suction mount had been applied at some point before pick up!

Ohhhh me oh my.... as the 'ha's' are already out of the way, erm.... I didn't realise that!
Probably because, well i never use it.. (Apart from storage)....

The fact it didn't annoy me in the first place, again has just made me pleasantly smile about all the little things :)

edit: Yes .... i really did go out and check!!!

Found something else about the arm rest today. It locks like a quarter of the up, if you raise it up half way slowly and bring it down a bit it stays in place a bit like some office chair arm rests. Although you lot probably already know that

That reminds me - pet moan - if you raise the arm rest a little just to throw some thing in there you can't just push it back down because of the lock mechanism.  I have to raise open higher and then close it again.  I seem to forget this everytime!

Only had it 12 hours and 2 things that I'm not best impressed with that I'll need to get my head round...

1. The boot on my 3 door is pretty small compared to my bmw coupe. So ended up having to do some 'ditching of old crap' when shifting from the bmw to the gti.
2. The inside of the fuel cap saying something about 95 Ron which confused me at the petrol station. Gut feel being I needed the expensive unleaded....but what Ron that was god only knows. Think I'll need to do some more research on this fuel type stuff.
3. The auto handbrake needs some working out as I got held up at secuirity barrier for about ten mins earlier as I could not unlock it...I looked like a right n@b!

Apart from that I'm very happy with it!

The boot floor is adjustable in height - have you checked that it's in its lowest position?

As said the boot floor is height adjustable, 95 RON is the standard fuel in this country so any old unleaded if your not fussy, BP ultimate is 97 and Shell V-power is 99 along with a few others.

The auto handbrake won't automatically release if you don't have your seat belt on.
