Got another annoyance that I hope is normal. My car hisses most times I start it, sounds like it's coming from the dash? Sometimes hiss is longer than others

Sounds like the air-con/climate control.

I don't have any strange noises with mine, but I do know that when I had a leak on the system on my 911, it made all sorts of hisses, sighs and the like... Might be worth having it checked out... It might be nothing but probably worth a check.

Was yours a constant hiss, as mine is just when you set Off for about 5-10 secs

If it's that short, (5-10secs) it's probably the flaps in the air-vent system. My Peugeot does that since new. I noticed that some days later after collection when I turned the audio system off before switching the heater off :embarrassed:  That "hissing" is the miniature, plastic wormgear that control the flaps of the air-vent system. They take some time to calibrate before shutting off. Don't worry!

I hate the printed airbag warning on the passenger sun visor.....looks terrible.....
Really need a part number for a LHD drivers sun visor to get rid of it....

The faff involved in adjusting the instrument and radio brightness at night.  If the lights are on during the day (rain etc) or have just come on for dusk, I like the lights up to the max as it keeps the instruments nice and clear to see.  When it's finally dark outside, I like to dim the interior lights down to ~30/40%, to keep the ambient in tune with the time of day.

Why isn't there a dial next to the light switch to allow me to do this quickly, with out having to select "Car=>Settings=>Lights=>Instrument" and then adjusting the brightness?

You are joking? Not got the GTi yet, hopefully arriving around Christmas. Cannot believe there isn't a simpler way to dim/brighten the instrument lighting. On my Honda, it's got a little dial to do this simple task, easy peasy. Please tell me there's an easy quick way to change it. That sounds like a right phaff, and Jimble is totally right, flipping dangerous.

Sadly this is true. I have just left it on just above minimum due to the drama required to adjust it on the fly.

Nope, no easy/quick way to do it, i find it rediculous that they've stopped fitting the knob and you need to take your eyes off the road and go into several menus to change the brightness! It's fine if your in stop start traffic on normal roads but not great if your travelling down the motorway and decide it's a bit bright. >:(
