Am I the only one here that hasn't taken their car back to the dealers for one reason or another?

Either I have very low standards or have been very lucky.

I was back in to the dealer again today as there is definitely something wrong with the spring mechanism on my fuel flap. It's just jamming all the time so the car is now booked in for Tuesday. Worse still, on the way home tonight I stick the car into sport mode and when I floor it the buzzing behind the dashboard has reappeared. Not a happy bunny

Craigw; the MDI lead, try flopping it out, (the MDI lead) as I've had similar experience and today that seemed to work. If not, just flop it out anyway...

Funnily enough the noise appeared when I had my phone connected to the MDI which I hadnt done for ages. I wonder if that's what it was. Thanks pal

For me it has to be the color MFD or to be more precise the lack of a color MFD.  I originally had this specced as an option but removed it once it was confirmed as standard on the GTI/GTD's.  If I had paid for this option I would not have been impressed at all.  Serioisly,  white and grey with the occasional bit of red?
On Order: 02/05/13

My dad's fuel flap spring tab failed too, about a month into ownership.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

It's not the spring, starting to see this on all golf 7 just needs slight modification to flap as it jams along side where the plunger sits on body

George, Have you seen any fixes for poor mpg, frequent DPF regens or slightly down on power for the GTDs yet? My Scirocco 170TDI was quicker (noticeably most in 5th and 6th gear acceleration) and 10% more frugal than my GTD, and I never had a single active regen in the whole time I had it.

My MK5 170TDI PD had similar issues which were fixed with a service remap.
