Brakes on 2009 mk6 gti

Im lukin to upgrading my brakes from the standard ones and was wondering if any1 got any good advice....... Wana change jus disc n pads and mayb hoses

Golfgti build quality is average at best.

Guys while we are on the subject of brakes. I just brought my 2009 Gti on Saturday and have noticed that the brakes start to squeak when they warm? Any ideas or remedies? Thanks

Try the mk6 section

Don't think you will get a huge improvement by just changing discs and pads, it will restore the braking to what it was like when new. Stainless steel brake lines will give a firmer pedal, but will not make the braking any better. You can get some brass bushes that replace the rubber bushes, supposed to maintain the alignment of the pads, but I tried them and they did not make much difference.

If you want real improvement try using Porsche calipers, see thread below:

I've seen people putting TTRS brakes on gti's and other vw's anyone done this to their mk6?
