Cheers Peter!

Unrelated - but how did you get on with JCB Medway (I have ordered through them via DtD)?

Got on fine - handover was smooth and car is grand so far!

You need to flip out the key and open up the black casing. I used a coin just to ease it open. The problem is once you get it open you need a really small torx screwdriver to undue the screw. If you have one it will be very easy to then replace

You don't happen to know what size the torx driver needs to be? I've found sets that go down to T3... but from what I can see and you've said I'll need even smaller...

This was far harder than it needed to be.. dunno about anyone else, but I found that the screw didn't really fit through the replacement chrome part - the hole was too small. I ruined the head of the small torx driver I bought solely for the purpose while trying to tighten it (I can't remember the size, sorry).

In the end I used some wire cutters to cut the pins off of a couple of long drawing pins and used those instead. They can't fall out because of the battery cover and they do just as good a job at stopping the chrome part sliding out sideways.

Way harder than it needed to be! You shouldn't have needed to do it in the first place i'd have taken it back to the dealer to do what they should've done to begin with!

it's part of the pdi so what else have they missed if they can't even be bothered to do such a small thing!

My chrome bits didn't turn up until a few weeks after I'd picked up the car, however I was told you need a special screwdriver to fit them - so I let the dealer do it (they said it was a pig to do) - keys looks the nuts now
