Still annoys me these people saying park assist is a gimmick. It's only a gimmick if you either don't know how to use it properly or rarely use it. It's a great piece of tech to have on a car - parallel park, bay parking and getting out of tight spaces when idiots park too close to the front or back. Saves bumping and scraping your bumpers.

100% agree, it's the best £145 I've even spent on options. Actually works like a dream (think the sceptic in me didn't think it would work so well).

I forgot that I had park assist!  Haven't used it yet.  Parallel parked my GTD for the first time yesterday evening and found the experience really stressful!  This is the first car I have had with parking sensors and the amount of noise and beeping and red lines made me panic.  Switched off the sound and then parked as normal old school style without an issue.  I think these sensors are going to take alot of getting used to (for me..)

Sorry buddy, only just seen this. I've emailed the picture kindly shown above to my dealer and asked him to check it out. I would still like the camera if available so lets see what they say! I've let them know that I'm part of a forum so if they have any sense, they will do more thorough research before fobbing me off again!

Incidentally, I placed my order on 28th October but still not had an order confirmation/order number/tracker details...

Which dealer is this - they should have given you the order number within a week. If i were you I would really get on their case as no doubt they have a wedge of your cash (deposit) now?

The camera thing is just rank muppetry really and they need to sort their act out rather than give customers information thats four months out of date!

I asked my dealership when I placed to order if they can add the camera to which they said they couldnt as it had been withdrawn (I knew this already).
But I asked them to keep a eye on the system in case it was available again. Just 1 week before my confirmed build week they called me and told me it was availabled and added to my order 
Now if they didnt add it I wouldnt have known and it would have probably been too late to add.
It was down to my dealer keeping a eye out for me, if only all dealers were like this.

Sadly, (as I'm sure you've experienced dealing with car salesmen) a lot of them don't have a clue. I've worked with enough.

It's when a customer is asking has it got x y and z and the salesmen will just nod along going yep, yes, yeah.

But that being said, rarely do you get people come in (at least at Honda) knowing anything about the car and options, performance etc.

I was always vert good with my product knowledge, and if someone would ask me something I didn't know, rather than just bullsh!tting, I would always be honest and say I don't know and we can learn together. Always seemed to work.
