Help with advice on Engine Undertray for GTi?
« on: 10 November 2013, 16:29 »
Helllo All,

Know its not essential but would like to get an engine undertray for my 2002 GTi but wondered if anyone could tell me if its just one central piece, (my previous Passat undertray came in two parts), and also are they all the same fitment?  Can I use one from a 1.4 or even a Diesel?

Few on Fleabay but none with details about fitting GTi.

Cheers for any advice.

PS. Have done a search without much clarification and an ETKA pic been removed from a similar 2007 query.

there are three parts to it; two that screw to each side on the inner wings then the main bit that goes under the engine. I think the diesel versions are different...

Give Steff at SRS a shout, they're always breaking MK4's and might have one lying around. They're based on Monk Bretton so shouldn't be far from you

Ther's 2 different types of the centre section of undershield. There is a half shield which was fitted to most things and a full shield which was fitted to diesels mainly.
