ABF exhaust manifold
« on: 08 November 2013, 22:21 »
Hello guys!

I currently have a 2.0 8v ADY in my car. I managed to find a 2.0 16v ABF with new timing belt, new water pump, ported head and manifold for 150 euros from a friend. He had it set up on megasquirt and I liked the idea...launch control, flat shift, why not  Ok, my dilemma is with the exhaust manifold, the engine didn't come with one. I might turbo it in the future given the fact that I will already have it set up on megasquirt so...

Should I buy a turbo exhaust manifold or a naturally aspirated exhaust manifold? I think I can make the turbo exhaust manifold work until I sort out the turbo stuff. What do you think? And please, where to get it from?

Here's a video of it running in my friends car because no video, no fun : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqiGMGCxzAU&feature=youtu.be

Save some money and arse pain and just buy a standard manifold. They are none restrictive up to 200bhp

Thought so. But thanks for waking me up to reality

Any idea where I can find one? I'm from Romania so any UK or Europe shop will do

I would try ebay and ask sellers if they will post to you. Cant see it being a problem as you will pay for it.

When you ask Ebay sellers or anyone else ask them to inspect the manifold VERY closely.I enquired about 30 or more when i needed one, even those that said they were uncracked.Every single one turned out to be cracked. It is a problem on the ABF manifold.I gave up in the end and had mine welded.

Well, if the ABF one is so fragile, should I look for a KR one? As far as I know a KR manifold will fit an ABF
