Recommendations for Insurance Companies....
« on: 22 August 2005, 15:40 »
....on a 19 year old with a Mark 2 16 valve.

I have gone onto confused.com and the cheapest quote I got was £2800!! third party!!

It is more than likely that i will be getting three points on my license, when getting insurance quotes do they ask what the 3 points were for, as mine are for a tyre that was 0.1mm under the tread limit!!!!!, just incase they assume i am a hooligan and expect me to rack up speeding fines and am likely to wrap my car up and automatically give me a crazy premium!!

thanks in advance

Paul

i tried confused last weekend and they could not come up with a single quote!  eventually i flicked through a few old copies of pvw and the golf magazines and rang round and found brentacre the cheapest by far. 350 tpft  most expensive was privilege at 892!
you could also try hic, admiral etc but brentacre told me i could modify it to 150bhp without any premium change

Brentacre from me too. You get a heavy duty excess off them but you can do certain mods without any premium increases and I guess the excess only comes into play if you make a claim.

Oh yeah, and I didn't even bother ringing around this year I just renewed their quote as it want down by about £40 and they were already the cheapest last year.
......now officially dubless.
