Stuffy / Mildewy smell in car
« on: 06 November 2013, 10:11 »
Morning,

I've recently picked up a mk4 golf, and the previous owner had it (badly) valeted before i collected it.  Unfortunately the seats were slightly (only slightly) damp when i collected it, and the cool weather recently hasn't given it chance to properly dry out.

Now im left with an unpleasant odour in the car  which im hoping some people on here will have ideas / products which are great at ridding the car of the mouldy wet smell.

Any clues?

Shampoo all seats and carpets, headlining etc, with a Wet Vac machine.

Then get an Air Conditioning Odour Killer through the vents.

All should be pretty fresh then!
