Well the Gti has arrived in Newcastle, sitting in a compound, being loaded onto a transporter at 13.30 tomorrow heading North to Peterhead :laugh: :smiley:

Only way I knew this was once again a call to VWUK, which should have came from my dealer!!!
But VWUK said it will take 3-5 days to reach the dealer!!! WTF.... Where's he going via Emden again!!!!
Hopefully this time next week am driving my Gti  :smug:

My dealer said it'll take 5-7 days from delivery to the dealership for me to collect because of TAX DISCS!

Nonsense I've been driving mine around for a week with no tax in the window...  Only just arrived in the post from them today.

Correct, you can drive upto 14 days from collection date without a tax disc displayed.
Also my car did take the full 7 days to arrive at the dealership from Grimsby port.
It all comes down to transporter routes / allocations / schedules.

Exactly, the mother in law bought an SE and was just given a cover note. Will question them on that.

They've said that I can collect from Wednesday even with that in mind so not the end of the world, earliest I could pick it up would be Monday anyway as typically am at work all weekend.
