After reading this thread I was expecting it to be far far worse a review than I just watched. Maybe as I dont own  one im not getting as upset or as emotional as owners here but I could understand what he was trying to say. He wanted to explore the new chassis at its limits too see how good it really was but the electronics would not let him so he could not do this.
As a road car he said it was as quiet and civilised as any other golf which is prase. He did say he could not hear the engine or exhaust well he must have the computer set wrong as I thought the artifical noise was loud in sport.
Again he mensioned the ride not feeling GTI like on road  again thats a computer settting. Old people and computers dont mix lol. That will teach him to say you need acc when it seems he cannot work it.

I have watched it I think he has a point that all these electric gizmos have taken the fun out of cars preventing you to go sideways on the track but aren't all manufacturers doing the same thing plus if you are going in a straight line and not wheel spinning you will go faster anyway it is called progress

For me,it's reassuring that the car will step in and apply the brakes etc when your in a situation like that. For us non racing drivers it's all the car one will need.I am a bit annoyed though that golf's are getting bigger, the mk6 is plenty big enough.Actually, the mk4 was plenty big enough!

I've watched the review now...

I don't see what the problem is.

Tiff drove it, he was disappointed with it because it wasn't "sporty" enough in his opinion, he's entitled to that view.

Should Tiff's view affect your opinion of the car? No. For those that have them, has it changed your opinion of the car?

Clarkson doesn't like 911s does it bother me or make me think less of mine..? No

And on Fifth Gear tonight, they would all prefer the Octavia rather than the Golf.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Never mind the Mk7, we all knew what Tiffany was going to say about that. What got me was Ray Partner's "concourse" Mk2. It picks up trophies left right and center, yet looks like this underneath.

I'm too ashamed to enter mine because it looks like that... at the moment.

Ha Ha I just saw this after downloading it and thought exactly the same!

I thought when they said this is what you can get for £1500 I thought "No way!" but after seeing under the wheel of it I'd say you could be getting robbed!
