Put a couple of posts up on here already but thought I may as well introduce myself.
Recently got my 1st GTi after wanting a faster car, had a 1.4 astra before with a 0-60 time of 12.7... yes some cars are really that slow! Ive always liked the GTi's but have never been in a position to insure or afford one and now I can I love every bit of it.
In the new year have plans to change a few things under the bonnet once I get my head around the different stages and what needs to be done at each level to get the most out of the mods and not damage the engine.
So far I have decided id like a Milltek turbo back system unsure on 2.75/3", race or standard, res or non res... but im sure buy the time I can afford one ill have decide. More then likely going for a revo remap as the revo garage is less then a mile down the road and that's where I got the car from. They have recommended a forge twintake intake but I think im gonna go for a carbonio as ive yet to read a bad thing about them. Reading other post it seem I might also have to change the DV (dump valve?) or put a atmospheric or recirculating blow off valve (more research needed here)
So that's the plans so far on a limited budget as the car finance each month is taking all my cash but hey its worth every penny!
Any help with my bone questions that have prob been answered loads of times before would be a great help
