Exhaust sound
« on: 28 October 2013, 15:42 »
Hopefully getting my car back some time soon after a abf conversion and was woundering what the best exhaust set up is? From what I have been reading there dose not seem to be any point in changing the manifold but what about the rest of the exhaust?
Don't want it to be really loud but louder then standard.
whats the best in your opinion?

i have a supersprint on mine with just the back box 1 silencer no cat  and its very quiet but nice.
i have in my shed a scorpion back box with silencer also quiet with little tingy with no cat that also has just 2 boxes with oval tip sounded good on my last gti TBH if you get an exhaust with at least 2 boxes will not be loud its just getting the sound right after then really.
Always louder at top only a little if no grumble on idle that's only my opinion on exhausts and these were fitted to mk3 with ABF engine both with de cats
