Mk2 golf 1.3 cable 1984-1991 , got mine from GSF

My car is originally a 1.3 and we couldn't get it to fit? Can you post a pic of it on the gearbox please?

When you say couldn't fit was it tight tho ? As it wos a 2 man job getting it through then had to take the black plastic thing off what cable goes threw to give more slack on cable .. Sorry no pics and sold car over year ago

Yeah, had two of us on it, it didn't seem anywhere near long enough to be honest.

We tried 3 on Thurdsay, the 1.3 and two Cordoba ones but they were both self adjusting. One fit ok, the other wasn't close, both same part number!

Might try and reinvestigate the 1.3 one, cheers

It's a SEAT cable.

What's a SEAT cable, my standard 1.3 VOLKSWAGEN one..

The SEAT cables were what the Volkswagen technician was trying to fit.
