It happens every year after the show season. On a personal note though I don't get a lot of replies to my build thread so I'm wondering if it's worth updating it any more...

Mine's the same, but I like to keep updating it for myself anyway, just so there is a record out there of everything I've done.

Likewise, it's always just 2 or 3 people who seem to follow most threads. Completely different to a couple of years ago, and much less active than the build threads on uk-mkivs and ED38

I actually like this forum, I am also a member of uk-mkivs but never go on there, I just cant get used to the layout.
I agree that the forum has gone quiet, people do move on from the older cars which is probably why the mk7 section is most popular.
I used to be a member of another forum (wont mention) but the cars are so rare now and most of the cars are in car heaven, so, that forum is dead pretty much. I do visit now and then to say hello to some of the old friends I had there though.
I rarely post on my project thread because I don't have much to show, there is always going to be bigger and better out there that steals the show, not that there`s a show to begin with lol

mk3s reliable

Yes! Most definitely Yes! I have had my Mk3 for nearly 11 years now and had no real problems with it at all

Most of the old crew are not here anymore JV

Those that made it a fun place to be and meet up with like minded people have either gone or got very grumpy!
