Nope. A 2014 registered car is a 2014 car to whoever buys it in the future. Pre recession it was commonplace for car manufacturers to stockpile. Cars made 4 months or more before sale. The car has no consumer history before it is registered.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

Just rang the dealer. I got a confirmed BW46 and a confirmed day! The first of the BW. So my GTI isn't going to be a Friday car  But we will see. VW always works in mysterious ways

Just wondering if BW46 is a 'Pure white' week. Looking at all the specs listed in signatures that's all I see.

Whilst I can't see my build week (tax free sale so my order doesn't register on the system the same way as normal orders) my car has been forecast for arriving in the UK just before Christmas too (and it's pure white) although my spec isn't quite as extensive as the OP's!

Fingers crossed guys they all turn up on time and everyone has a daft smile plastered on their face on delivery!!!

Build week 46 confirmed for my GTI as well, from 6th September order placement. Original lead time estimate was 22 weeks, so its likely to be much quicker than the dealer originally forecast. My order was timed to align with the forthcoming 14 plate, so the early build is a bit of a disappointment (although its very tempting to just take it early!). However the dealer thinks March 1st collection should still be possible as they claim to have 10 weeks leeway on delivery (although I suspect even 10 weeks may not be enough if the VW build/shipping process works quickly). Just hope the car is not parked in the open with the battery going flat between times!

Mine is pure white too. And performance pack. I wonder if the BW46 suggests that the rear rattling dampers are fixed. The BW45 seems like a benchmark. In Great Britain at least. I don't know about the rest of Europe though. And (a little out of topic) can someone tell me this one: does the rear armrest in the 3-door GTI guise have the nasty, cheap plastic cup holders? I hope not, I really hate them...

Well, andygou ruined my 'Pure white' theory lol!

Didn't know there was a rear damper problem! I know there is a EU wide warranty but I think I'll end up driving mine straight from the dealers to the port ready for shipping to Cyprus - hopefully the dealers out here are more helpful than some of the UK ones!! Actually I'm more hoping I don't need to find out!

Sorry for ruining your theory GnasherVXR!

I wonder if the timing is something to do with material availability for one or more of the options, e.g. I notice a fair proportion of Performance Pack cars specced in the thread. All it needs is something obscure like one of the bigger discs to have been on shortage!

Yes, we are remaining very patient. Don't want to jinx our delivery dates by delays lol.
I had a call from my dealer this week to say that everything is still on target for delivery by 31st Dec. :)
