Mk3 Bottom end
« on: 19 October 2013, 20:36 »
Right on.

Got the car in bits in the garage replacing gear box. Someone mentioned I should whip the engine out and put a mk3 GTI 2L bottom end on.

Any thoughts?

Cheers

gives you a good increase in torque but doesn't rev quite as well as the 1.8. but if you have a cam or head upgrade in mind then go for it. you will need to uprate the front suspension slightly as the 2.0 bottom end is heavier. not by much but you can notice it when cornering.
