Looks like it mate, before commiting to a purchase send Spencer a message or give them a bell and he'll tell you if they're the small or large cups.

you will either need to get front springs for a later mk3. or change the spring plate/bearing/top mount and nuts to the earlier type. (mk2 and early mk3)

So the larger spring plate won't be enough on its own then? I would need to replace everything from spring plate upwards so to speak?

Diameter is about right though.

Here's how they compare:

Anyone have any ideas what is the correct part i need?

Aren't there two types of top mount rubbers as well so youll need matching ones?

Are there any that look like they'll fit that newer spring plate?

Have i got to get all of these bits to make them fit?!

I am in exactly the same position and not happy,
there's a mention of different spring plates on FK's info but theres no mention of what you need to buy,
http://www.carparts-tuning.co.uk/Suspension-Tuning/Lowering-springs/Lowering-springs-High-Tec-fit-for-VW-Corrado-16V-G60-VR6-53i.html?force_sid=320176377faf5b24bbddd1d34f200aec&listtype=search&searchparam=fkvw051
-For vehicles from Yr 10/93 were instd with different VW spring plate on the front axle. For vehicles with a small
-for Yr: 1989
-1996
I think I(we) need these
http://www.carparts-tuning.co.uk/Promotion-sale-items/SALE/Lowering-spring-cap-fit-for-VW-Golf-3-Typ-1HXO-1H-1E-GTI-16V-VR6-bis-07-93-Corrad.html
It keeps the later "floating" spring plate design, only problem is it will lower the front by (I guess) 10mm or so,
but looking at the stock early mk3 to late mk3 plates it looks like the early ones will raise it by 20mm or so.
I'm waiting till 9am then phoning Germany to complain,
I'll keep you posted
