If there was one thing I would never have again in my life it would be acupuncture. I am absolutely certain it was nothing to do with the practice itself, but more the self-centered *insert rude word here* who was supposedly a "specialist". I was desperate to alleviate some severe pain in my shoulders, and was willing to try anything to stop it.
Given that I had frozen shoulders at the time and had significant trouble lying in certain positions, he totally ignored any of my protestations about pain & discomfort, left me in uncomfortable positions (after half an hour I was in agony), stuck needles in me and charged me £40 for the priveledge. He then decided to lecture me on my diet, my lifestyle and my ying and yang. It was obvious he was trying to get me to sign up to other classes he offered. Prick.
I am no stranger to needles (I'm diabetic) so they didn't bother me - it was his attitude - that stank. So it has put me off for life.
