Yeah my GTD is very eager in 1st and 2nd. To get the power down fully I have to floor it in 3rd. (Not that I am complaining, the car's an animal)!!

I look forward to testing 'normal' mode tomorrow. (I have only used sport or comfort so far).

In sport mode, do I need to use the push the pedal to the 'click' part or does it matter?

Nope. In Sport mode you will find the pedal response a lot more eager right through the travel than in Eco and a bit more than in Normal. The click is like a kickdown. If you're getting poor acceleration whilst pootling in Eco then all of a sudden you need good response, you floor it past the click to get decent response.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

OK so day 2 in Normal mode and I do agree with all your comments that the car won't be technically quicker, I still think the slightly lower throttle response gives better traction and with that, makes it seem quicker from standstill when you floor it!

And then if you did order ACC I guess you should be in customised mode to enjoy the sporty steering whilst having comfort dampers for ye olde english roads
