im doing a conversion into a car that didnt have an immobilizer (mk2 jetta) and im sticking in an ABF. Iv plugged everything in and i have found there is a plug for the immobilizer that isnt plugged in, i dont no where it goes or what it does. it does have a small signal of up to 1.4v when ignition is turned (with or without the chip).
This is the one in question
Can anyone help? my last hurdle!!

check this site as I'm sure the mk3 wiring or engine section will cover it (it's mostly in english which is a bonus unless you know russian like me!)

iv found out that this wire connects to the VAGCOM port. But i am still unsuccessful in starting the motor.
i am even considering the combination between the key and the reader are incorrect. which i find hard to believe as they came from the same car. but you never know. im going to find someone who hopefully can let me use their combination to test mine. -----Any offers??
-----
im looking into getting my ECU played with to remove the signal but im not sure yet on a price, or whether it is better to look at the bypass loom.
Or does anyone have any information on how to bypass it? - the downside that i have read up on is the central locking system fails however i dont have this issue!

So what's it doing, starting for a second and then cutting out?
If so you can look at a immob bypass, or find a pre 1994 ecu without a immob.

Yeah it starts for a second then cuts outs.
That's what has been said a lot. Did abf's come with no immob even before 94?

Iv had a look for one but can not find one,
Ive also resorted to an auto-locksmith, who gave me my keys chip details but could not reprogram my key for me. he needed a 4 digit code and his gear could not extract this code from the ecu.
i have also been trying to find more information online about how others have come about this issue. and someone mentioned Qpeng did somthing for putting an abf into the mk2 - cant find any information ANYWHERE about this. Iv been at this now for a week and its starting to f**k me off. so much so that i may even remove it all together and just stick some twin 40's on it just to drive the damn motor.

To be honest I would just defeat the immob on the ECU you have, there are a few companys that can do this.
