Owners manual
« on: 12 October 2013, 10:55 »
Would someone do me a favour?
I am after a specific page in the owners manual (GTI) that states " Lights can be switched to LHD for driving on the continent" or words to that effect.
I am driving my car back to Germany on collection next Thurs 17th Oct. Us Forces personnel require a "light test" here in Germany, carried out by UK Testers. They are failing some cars, the new SEAT LEON is one of them. I know the lights are switchable, but something in the manual would be better.

Cheers!!

Odd that "travel mode" is only a temporary solution and "only reliable for a short period".

I'd have thought VW could have saved money by fitting the same lights to LHD and RHD vehicles and have the software take the setting according to country...

They probably did - arse covering exercise or a way to give the dealer some workshop revenue by making the RHS driving the "home" setting with VAGCOM. Wonder if they revert to their "home" function after a certain amount of time has elapsed?
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....
