Im going to stick up for the TT as it was my previous ride and by far the best car i have owned. The new GTI may be more technologically advanced than the MK2 TT but it can't compete in the looks department. Its a load of nonsense that its a hairdresser car as i doubt there are that many who can afford one. Plus as i have said in a previous thread the TTRS at 340-360bhp would worry most supercars especially with its huge tuning potential.

Once the Mk3 is released and is based on the new MQB platform with the technology of the Golf it will be a far more attractive car than the GTI.

Yeah it will be for hairdressers

Joking aside, I'm sure its a great car and I did consider the TTS before the M135i, but the humiliation of getting out of one infront of my mates was too much to stomach!

Are you kidding? A TTS vs an M135i. Beaten for pace no doubt but the TT is a stunning looking car compared to the 135. Your mates may have wound you up initially but then they would just have been jealous

I liked the idea of 4wd but want 4 usable seats really, plus I think Audi's in general are a bit overpriced (I've owned a couple). And they are all starting to look the same as well...
No doubt the mk3 will be very good, but I'm going to try and hold out for the M235i or the M2 I think which will be out 2014/15, or the special edition 40 GTI.

Mk 1 TT was a hairdressers car (that's the one I had - and it was a convertible ); the Mk 2 TT was just cool - and a TTRS is the complete nuts of a car, I would have one of those tomorrow.  The Mk 3 will be an awesome car, and yes will p!ss on the GTI for looks!

Talking of stigmas, the ST is a chavs/boy racer car.  It could be the best ride in the world and I'd still never have one (I'm too old!).  Stigmas are great though, as you can tell what kind of person is behind the wheel without seeing their face (90% of the time) - for eg. Jaguar XF (fat old man), BMW M3 (Essex wannabee/bellend), Audi Q5/7 (Rich kept woman with 1 child) etc etc - the list is endless!  And yes, they are complete generalisations but I'd also have all of those cars listed as they're all great motors!!

GTI owner - boy racer at heart, ever so slightly an attention seeker, but who enjoys a classy cabin, a great handling car and room for all the family if needs be!

Or, in short,  as f7ck!
