The OP is refering the remote controlled aux heater thats explained in the manual, it's not an option in this country.

My brothers 4 motion mk5 has the auxiliary heater, although its now broken.
My mk6 GTD definitely doesn't have one, I doubt the mk7 has one unless its a 4 motion / foreign model.

That's a very common problem with the mk5 heaters. The mk6 version is set up differently and doesn't have its own module address like the mk5.

Here's a picture of the remote you get if you have the auxiliary heater.



And you can set the heater on timer in the climate control menu if you know when you are going to leave.
