Cleaning seats
« on: 08 October 2013, 09:46 »
I know this isn't the right place but can't find a place to ask really?!

I had to take my cat to the vets the other day and somehow it managed to piss out the box and now the back seat of my car stinks of cat piss

I've tried detergent but that hasn't shifted it

I'm worried that I'm gonna have to replace the whole seat which is f**king mint apart from the smell and getting a replacement that isn't covered in fag burns or stains is near on impossible!!!

Anyone got any good cleaning tips or know where I can ask??

take the seat out, cover off, stick it in the washing machine.

if the actual base stinks off p*ss too then get some detergent, put it in a bucket and give the seat base a good scrubbing with areal or vanish or what ever your choice of detergent is

Buy a Wet Vac machine, or take it to somewhere that does it.

I bought a Numatic George (Henry's Brother,Cousin,Uncle whatever), and its fantastic. Also doubles up as a dry hoover.

Just chuck the detergent and water in, spray it all over the seat, scrub it in, and then extract it using the machine.

My parents got one of them so I'll try it if what I've started don't work.

Basically had to strip the entire rear seats out as it seems to of soaked into everywhere!! Got all the covers in the wash and the foams all been scrubbed clean so fingers crossed this gets rid :undecided:

I know it doesn't solve the seat problem but you should consider getting the cat neutered, then it's pee won't stink up your stuff!!

lol the cat is neutered but cat piss still stinks! Instead of pissing on the blanket she managed to sit on the cage door and piss out the side of the box!! Bloody animals!!!
