I'm after some advice about my 2003 ARL 150bhp golf, it developed a louder than normal whoosh noise when the turbo comes in which gradually increses with the revs. ive searched for a bosst leak ect but cant find any evidence. has anybody got any tips ? I cant see it being the turbo itself (hope not !) as its still driving fine no smoke ect. no fault codes stored either. has anybody had any experience with this ? it sounds like its coming from the drivers side but cant be sure. ive taken the auxillary belt off to eliminate alternator bearings.
the cars for sale on ebay so really need to get this fixed asap , don't want to be selling a car with problems
