My car has Nav Pro, Oryx White, Dynaudio, Rear View Camera, Performance Pack.  It was delayed 3 weeks and is as mentioned before sat in Transit.  So Vienna Leather, High Beam Assist and Keyless Entry are different options and Sams car has also been delayed.  Although cars on other build weeks are also delayed, why are build Week 36 cars getting so delayed to the point of being beaten to the post by later build cars?

I have High Beam Assist and Keyless amongst my options and my car skipped straight into transit 4 days into its build week last week.  I would be surprised if Vienna Leather was the hold up?  As mentioned, the whole point of a confirmed build week is that they have set aside all of the relevant parts needed to complete your order otherwise what is the point in confirming the build week?

During the dark days of my order process I spoke to VW exec at least once a week about the hold up.  They offered so many different reasons for what was the problem.  Rear cam, sun roof, lack of engines, DSG, shut down, hail storm, shut down again, etc etc etc

What I learnt from this experience is that it is none of the above.  The reason for the delay is VWUK promised something they a) couldn't deliver on and b) had no control over anyway.  So essentially rather than admit that there are big delays because they started taking orders for the car before the factory was ready to make them they are just going to continue promising to deliver and hope that they can fob people off with excuses long enough that the problem goes away.

The more interesting question is why is it that later orders get processed before earlier ones.  In my 'cancellation' conversation with VW where they were ass-holes and basically said "why are you cancelling" I just gave them a long LONG list of all their dumb problems and all the lies they had told me as excuses.  One of these I said was why are people ordering later and taking delivery sooner?  The person I was speaking to either lacked a brain or more likely was playing the conversation politically (not knowing if I was recording it and forwarding to a national newspaper for example) so she said (stupidly) that she "could not discuss other people's orders" with me and that it was "inappropriate for me to ask questions she could not answer".  To which I pointed out that the problem wasn't that she couldn't answer, but rather the problem was they had f**ked up so bad it reached the stage where I had to ask.  She had no answer for this and I received my deposit back a few days later.

They monumentally screwed up something very simple and they won't admit it.

TL;DR
There is nothing wrong with your options, the reason is simple: VWUK are incompetent.  I know its hard to believe any company can be that bad, there must be some contributing factors outside their control right?  Nope.  Pure incompetence.

/rant

EDIT:
Forgot the original question, when will your BW36 car actually be built/delivered?  Answer: f**k knows.  VWUK certainly don't.  There is no logic to it.  Sorry.

Well as of this morning, my GTD is showing as built and in transit. Four weeks to get to the dealer if I'm very lucky, but going by my VW experience thus far, I'm not holding out any hope. Still, I've got 2 calls from VW Execs to look forward to and will be pushing for a faster then normal delivery!

Good to see you've finally got some progress mate.. Apparently sunroof cars only get built when a quota justifies reconfiguring the line. Hence lead times for sunroofs can be particularly open ended. I only learnt this by chance mind, not when I ordered one  Good luck with the rest of the "process"...

How did you learn this skinnee D?  I was told something similar but then later it was denied by VW again.  So many reasons given and then later retracted its hard to know what to believe really.  With 4000 cars built a day can they really have to "wait" for enough sunroofs?  Its a pretty popular option...

My understanding of the VW production line is that they build as it arrives in the ordering system(assuming parts are available) so a red GTI w/o sunroof -> Black GTD with sunroof -> Red GTD. Having a sunroof should no bearing on the build unless they don't have the parts available.

I had a sunroof and me and Sam were the same build week. So that rules that out.

Just to give you some hope Sam.  I was same build week and my car has now gone to In Transit, 10 days on tracker.  I have also had this confirmed by my dealer, who also tells me the car is in the UK and is booked to go on a Transporter early next week and they will try to fast track the paperwork and payment asap once they get the delivery note for the car.

The main wait to dread is going to be the car sat in the compound at Emden waiting to go on a ship and then finally the compound at your UK Port.  Mine sat at Emden for at least two weeks before progressing to the UK.

Yes I strongly suspect it is another 'stock excuse' with either no, or only very loose, relation to reality.
