First DA use and results
« on: 04 October 2013, 20:56 »
Hi All,

Thought I would share the results of my first proper DA use.

I washed the car using the 2 bucket method as I usaully do.
Clayed
Then used DA with Lime Prime
Then sealed with 2 coats of JetSeal 109
Then waxed with Dodo Juice Supernatural

Very happy with the results only using Lime Prime, especially the rear lights have come out so well. So will be looking at cutting if I get brave enough next.

I practised on my partner's van before letting loose on mine with a cutting compound!

Looks good mate! Cutting isn't no where near as bad as people make out, especially with a DA, you can't really do any damage!

Bought the car from Hayseldens Jan 2014, gave the car a good detail and coated with Gyeon PRIME. Definitely adds the extra gloss to it.
I was really surprised when I went to view it, at how clean it was. Could tell it had been well looked after, which sold it to me.

Just one fault, its had a new clutch and flywheel (luckily under warranty)

The Monzas are in storage keeping warm in the garage, until its spring. Its currently wearing Ed35 rims.

What did you trade it in for?

I got a MK7 GTI in carbon grey.

Hopefully the alloys will be ok for a while as I got them to swap all 4 under warranty in August 2013. Plus it was garaged from new which helps.

It is looking good though. I Used jet seal 109 as sealant twice a year and supernatural and supernatural hybrid on it every 2 months. Clayed once a year.  I used dodo juice lime prime in this thread and that was the 1st time any polish apart had been alround the car so you should have plenty of clear coat to play with haha

Your making me miss it seeing it still looking quality haha
Are you still living around Doncaster area?

Must be nice and a bit nostalgic to see your old car turn up here looking good and being well cared for.  I've always hoped I don't see my previous cars out on the road in case they are in a right state.  I would hate that.  But if they turn up on here looking like that
