I' ve noticed quite a lot members have specced every other colour other than silver yet the more i see the car in this colour the better it looks.

Some pics in PH's recent review:

I've seen a silver one in the flesh and its very very nice I have to say. I'm not a fan of silver cars but having seen the GTI in that colour I would have no hesitation now to pick silver

I saw a silver one in Germany's Black Forest in the summer. It looked great. Silver has unfortunately fallen out of fashion, due to every other car in the UK being silver a few years ago. However, silver always looks good on a dull UK day, much as white always looks good on a sunny continental day. Silver is a good choice, but no one will want it come resale time. I hope the same is not true for red... I honestly believe the current fashion for white will be short-lived, even though my last three cars have been white.

I believe Torch is getting a silver GTI (hopefully soon!) - and as he's a professional photographer his pics will go down a treat - I've not seen a silver GTI or GTD yet so I'm looking forward to seeing his!

Hi, I've been following this forum for a week now. I ordered my Gti in Reflex Silver two weeks ago (unconfirmed build week 50). Was beginning to think I'd have the only Silver one in the UK (when it eventually arrives). Everyone seems to be going for white, red, deep black pearl or carbon grey metallic. I do very much like the Gti in white, but in the end went for Reflex Silver - I felt it was a little more understated, and doesn't show the dirt as much! But know what you mean about every other car being silver these days. It did make me think twice.
Thanks for posting the pistonheads road test, it's been hard finding pics of the car in silver... something to drool over until Jan/Feb arrival!

Greetings,

I am now the proud owner of a Reflex Silver Golf GTI with performance pack.
The car looks stunning in silver!
Oh and it has black leather and red stitching.
I sat in it of an evening for two hours on the pretext of loading the radio logos and 32gb of mp3 files because I could not believe it was mine.

If you guys think Red and White GTI's looks good wait until you see this.
No photographs yet as I have been putting some miles on the clock.
Talking of clocks have you noticed how the mileage indicator clicks over the tenths like a mechanical device - clever.
A lot of people have admired the car, it certainly is a head turner.

Keep watching for photographs.

Regards

According to the Tracker, mine should be here before the end of the month now.

I can't wait to see your photos, as I've yet to see one in this colour!
