Putting a Cupra R 6 speed box onto my 5 speed AGU what clutch do i go for ???

Hi there, need some advise im fitting a 6 speed cupra r box to my AGU engine and want to fit a Valeo single mass clutch kit but the engine codes dont match from euro parts, will it still fit my car / engine

you advise would be most appreciated

I'm fairly sure that the vr6/ g60 setup doesn't work on the 6 spd box only the 5.

Correct it does not fit the 6spd.

the 5 speed single mass kits for your car won't fit if you go 6 speed mate. they use a 228mm clutch.

you;'ll need the clutch and flywheel setup from a 6 speed car, which uses a 240mm clutch with a different slave cylinder arrangement also.

You'll also need the driveshafts, starter motor, clutch hydro line, and power steering pipe from the 6 speed car, as well as possibly a speedo drive plug depending on the age of yours, and possibly the whole shifter mech and cables too, again depending on the age of your AGU.

Hi there, thanks for the useful info ive got the clutch, starter, driveshafts but how do no which power steering pipe to buy and whats the difference  between the two Could you also give me some more info on the speedo drive plug, cheers

Picked up a Valeo SMF coversation kit, managed to get it for £290.00 which i didnt think was a bad price, have you had any issues

The standard DMF and clutch are good for over 400 BHP.

Pretty certain I paid about £230 for mine, It does rattle a little on idle,
If I were to do it again I would probably stay with DMF

Thanks for your suggestions lads, I'm going to give the SMF and clutch a go and see how it feels for now, wish id never got into the idea of the 6 speed now, its been a nightmare trying to get all the parts together  but does anyone no where i can get a secondhand power steer pipe from the pump vein to the steering rack but of a 6 speed box
