And how is that going to pull a horse trailer off a wet field?

Q5 I reckon.  Looking as it we might have a look at one of these next up for us too.

1) I never saw that part
2)  he said if its capable of towing it will be used to tow the trailer, not it must be able to tow the trailer...

but yeah sorry didn't see that part just saw the long trips to Europe and Russia part...

Because the only acceptable engine in a Toerag is the V10 tdi and you have to take the engine out to change the oil filter or headlight bulbs.

It's also not got the best reputation for reliability.

the V10 TDi  sounds like a really good idea to start with.

had a look under the bonnet at one in the metal and just had a horrible thought .  when we kill it i'm probaly going to be fixing it and there are some big scary monsters with bigger teeth well entrenched in that engine bay.

discoverys are just a no,  ive not driven a disco 3 but the previous 2 were like big fat fugly trifels to drive.
as for towing if what we get can't tow wil have to get a sh!tter for towing probaly a disco or revive the l200

i have a horrible feeling i may well be informed / presented with what has been bought/aquired in the not to distant.  have some suspitions and i hope i'm wrong

landcruser are bloody good bits of kit,  but we really are looking for a car as opposed to a truck.  if needed ultimate relaiblity with comfort and good aircon in the form of a truck there woud have one allready. but a large car is really a lot more sutable i think.

whatever i go for i would really like it to be abel to pull a large turn of speed if needed to "get the f**k out of dodge" as well as been abel to carry quite a lot of luggage and kit.  i know it's a big ask

when your out in the middel of nowhere in some random eastern block country being somewhere else quickly can really quickly become very desirable.

Got an E350 CDI as a pool car at the Czech plant, used as a lugger as well as an airport limo very nice motor but I hate to think how much it costs to run. Handles the Slovak/Czech roads no probs and does a fine turn of speed

Subaru Forester or Outback ?

Range Rover, a proper one, not the toy Sport.
