I want one now!  Have to wait 2 years  :cry:  by then I'll have been in golf gti's for 10 years so time for an upgrade.

Never been sold on blue cars before but the R in blue is  :drool:  Even my 'no interest in cars' other half had to admit it was stunning.

I've held off from the Mk7 GTI GTD to see the R and decide if that's the car for me for a couple of years.

Wonder when we'll be able to see one over here?

I love the 19s on the white version and those are the two colours to fight for. Was the white the standard or Onyx?

I am almost certainly going to order an R ,my GTI due soon is a short term purchase ,mind originally R order books
were due to open in November ,but heard a rumour VW UK hadn't committed to the R specs etc ,Recaros awaiting
type approval and the GTI/GTD backlog might make them hold off on the R till feb with deliveries Mid Year , Quite
a bit of Interest and spec moaning already over on the golf R forum . Allow 6 months + for high spec .

I was watching some YouTube clips of the new R.
It appears to have front indicator LED.
Does the GTI have these?

At Frankfurt VW were non committal on when UK order books open but indicated mid 14 when they start to appear, my dealer reckons February when orders open

More than happy to push the button having seen one
